Wisconsin State Representative André Jacque has introduced a Personhood Amendment bill. The bill (2013 LRB 0130/1)adds, after approval by the legislature and the people, the following text to Article 1, Section 1 of the Wisconsin state constitution:
As applied to the right to life, the terms “people” and “person” shall apply to every human being at any stage of development.
It also removes the qualifier “born” so that the section applies to persons not yet born. After the amendment, Art 1, Sect 1 will read:
Equality; inherent rights. Section 1. All people are equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights; among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; to secure these rights, governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. As applied to the right to life, the terms “people” and “person” shall apply to every human being at any stage of development.
The Wisconsin pro-aborts will surely start lying about this amendment. Keep this fact sheet handy to counter the pro-abortion lies.
Thank you Rep. Jacque for standing for the weak and vulnerable.
